She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Downey and Barbara Downey (Cavallini); her husband Weston Ford; her sons, Lawrence Gillette Jr. (Kristin), James Ford II and Weston Ford Jr.; her granddaughter Lillian Gillette; and her siblings, Robert Downey Jr. (late Trisha Downey), Michael Downey, Kerry (Downey) and Anspach (Doug Anspach). She was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
