She was predeceased by: her sister Elizabeth H. Williams of Annapolis, MD; and her husband A. Alden Carpenter, MD. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sarah, Amy (Ken), Blake (Sydney) and Brinton; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Anna; Timothy Carpenter of Lakeville, MA, Daniel Carpenter (Whitney) of Hanson, MA and Beth MacDonald (Bruce) of Bend, OR. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Linda's memory to the Hingham Congregational Church.
