He was predeceased by: his wives, Florence Downey (Harrington) and Margaret Downey (Bates); and his children, Richard Downey and Genevieve Commesso. He is survived by: his friend George; and his children, Jean Downey, Margaret Millen, Dominic Commesso, Robert Commesso and Mary Hingston. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with his many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
