He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Alden Nevins and A. Mildred Nevins (Nelson); and his brother-in-law Bob Rankin. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Nevins (Miller) of Brockton, MA.; his daughter Alison Greene (Nevins) of Corinth; his pet Walter; his son Robert Nevins (Katherine) of Hanson, MA; his pet Doodle; his sister-in-law Patricia Rankin (Miller); his nephew Jason Rankin (Kate); his great-nephews, Raymond and Andrew; his niece Kimberly Holmes (Brian); his great-nephew Ethan; and his niece Kristin Rankin-Smith (Drake).

In lieu of flowers, Dwight requested donations be made to the Holbrook Council on Aging, Brookville Bible Church, or the Yankee Beemers Motorcycle Club—because even in passing, he wanted to make sure his people, and his communities were taken care of.
