He was predeceased by: his parents, Domenicoantonio Vito and Santina Di Vito (Carnevale). He is survived by: his spouse Raffaella "Lina" Di Vito (DiMatteo); his children, Emilio Di Vito, Jr. of Holbrook, Diana Demers (Gary) of Holbrook and Robert (Kimberly) of Braintree; his grandchildren, Joseph, Danielle Demers, Nicholas, Anthony and Marisa Di Vito; his great grandchild Derrick; and his sibling Pia LaRosa (late Vincent "Jimmy") of Quincy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
