It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly J. Merritt (Holden, Massachusetts), who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Casteel (Fager) and Earl Casteel; her husband Richard; her children, Wayne and Cheryl Conety; and her daughter-in-law Donna Basinsky.
She is survived by: her uncles, Reuben Fager and Reverend Gus Johnson; her children, Glenn (Marie) of Worcester and Julie Merritt; her son-in-law Mike Conety of Worcester; her sisters, June Mentzer (Don) of Worcester and Nancy Cudmore (Dave) of Falmouth; her grandchildren, Harry Merritt (Sarah) of Cranston, RI, Dennis Conety (Joanna) of Worcester, Seth Merritt of Philadelphia, PA, Suzanne Masiello of Worcester and Sarah Wreschinsky (Jamie) of Oakham; her great great grandchildren, Gus Merritt, Ryan Wreschinsky, Isabella Conety, Gianni Conety, Lacey Masiello, Corinne Conety and Evelynn Conety; and also, Gladys, Ralph Sanders, Richard and Beverly. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as six half-sisters and half-brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Home (1158 Main St, Holden, MA 01520). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
