We announce the death of Colleen M. Shaughnessy Mathis (Holden, Massachusetts), who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 58. Colleen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Shaughnessy and Maureen Shaughnessy (McGuire). She is survived by: her husband Crawford "Ford" Mathis; her daughters, Cassandra Taylor (Spencer Thompson) of Rutland, Allison Zeena Gersbeck (John) of Providence, RI and Jillian Zeena of Ware; her sister Erin Shaughnessy-Zeena (Ricky) of Princeton; her nieces, Sydney and Zoë Zeena; her granddaughter Sophia Taylor; and her pets, Reese, Lucky and Wolfie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Home (1158 Main St, Holden, MA 01520). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
