He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Layton and Lillian E. Layton (Kalbach). He is survived by: his wife Darlene Layton (Olson); his children, Charles Layton (Sandra Morgan), Marcy Curtis, Wendy Metcalf (Larry) and Paige Welch (Andrew) of Rindge; and his siblings, Bruce Layton (Sharon) of Florida and Iris Unger (Joseph) of Whitehall, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
