He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Adolph and Paula Meltzer (Dorfman). He is survived by: his wife Toni Meltzer (Klatzko); his children, Rachel Morgenstern (Joel) of Medway and Dr. Jeremy Meltzer (Shirley) of Sudbury; his grandchildren, Lila, Zoe Morgenstern, Avi, Viggo and Lev Meltzer; and his sister Naomi Rubin.
