She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Arthur F. Powell; her parents, Margaret Lamphier and Richard Lamphier; her stepmother Elta Lamphier; her grandparents, Ellen and Wallace Solomon; Donna Marie.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara (George Reed), Arthur (Susan Powell), Nancy Baptiste, James (Dawn Powell), Patricia (Virgil Watson) and Richard (Christine Powell); and her pet Cleo. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
