In loving memory of Mildred E. (Burkill) Scannell of Holden, Massachusetts, born in Athol, Massachusetts, who departed this world on May 25, 2025 at the age of 102. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo E. Burkill and Hazel E. Burkill (Choquette); her husband Flourence Peter "Lefty" Scannell; her brothers, Arthur Burkill and Donald Burkill; and her sister-in-law Mary Scannell.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Reny (Mark), Dr. Mary Scannell and Robert Scannell (Sandra); her grandchildren, Michael Reny (Megan), Katherine McDowell (Sean), Kristina Cronin (Sean), Abigail Scannell and Peter Scannell (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Brendan, Lauren Reny, Graeme, Vivian, Vanessa and Grace McDowell.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (353 Grove St, Worcester, MA 01605). A Mass was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (175 Wisdom Way, Greenfield, MA 01301).
