He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Cox; his parents, William Cox and Dorothy Cox (Buckner); his son Robert E. Cox Jr.; and his siblings, Marland Cox, Lucy Rodriguez and Caroline Frost.
He is survived by: his children, Randy L. Cox of Holland, Ryan A. Cox (Kelly) and Renee Fitzgerald (Gregory).
