He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Bud" Hines and Patricia Hines; his wife Joan Fitzpatrick Hines; his son John Hines Jr.; and the parents of child, Harold "Bud" Hines and Patricia Hines.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly J. McCormack (Sean) of Bristol, RI, Lisa H. Wilkins (Christopher) of Ashland, MA and Patricia H. MacLeod (Rory) of Holliston, MA.; his grandchildren, Mariana McCormack, Nicole Thomas (Zach), Conor McCormack, Carly Wilkins, John Wilkins, Kiley MacLeod and Molly MacLeod; his great grandchild Vivian Thomas; and his brother Richard Hines (Darlene) of Gilford, NH. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
