He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, John Cocchiarella and Jennie Cocchiarella (Ruscitti); his wife Joan (Carey); his children, John Charles (Robin Tomas), Andrew (Rozanna Penney), Nancy and Susan Appleyard (David); and his grandchildren, Sophia, Lily, Evelina Cocchiarella, Alexander Penney, Ella, Fiona Zonfrillo, Maeve and Charlie Appleyard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Mary's Parish, Holliston.
