She was predeceased by: her parents, Isabel Cotter (Chisholm) and John Cotter; her former husband David Nickerson; and her siblings, Isabel "Jean" Bartley, Ruth Canoni, Martha McGilvary and Lawrence Cotter.

She is survived by: her children, David Nickerson (Jeanette Palmer) of Holliston, Karen Green (Robert Alzapiedi) of Bolton, John Nickerson of Hopkinton and Brian Kramer of Holliston; her siblings, Mary Mespelli of Ashland and John Cotter of Damariscotta, Maine; and her grandchildren, Haley, Stephen, Ashley Green, TJ Nickerson, Erin and Brendan Alzapiedi.
