He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Pecia and Anna Pecia; his siblings, Helen Slawski, Gina Groom and Tadeuz Pecia; and his son-in-law Kris Smethurst.
He is survived by: his wife Jane; and his daughters, Susan (Michael Ryan), Debbie Smethurst (James) and Ellen Pecia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
