Cecile Counter Obituary
We bid farewell to Cecile Counter of Holyoke, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 9, 2025 at the age of 88. Cecile touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Quenneville and Flora Quenneville (Couture); her spouse Francis X. Counter; and her brother George Quenneville (Marie Anne). She is survived by: her children, Geraldine A. Petrovsky (Joseph) of Westfield, Charles F. Counter (Erin) of South Hadley and Gail E. Counter of Holyoke; her grandchildren, Stacy Martin (David) and Patrick Counter (Jennifer); and her great grandchild Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home (2049 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A procession will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1945 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at the Saint Jerome Cemetery (1666 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040).
