He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Joseph and Mary T. Thompson (Simmons) of Holyoke, MA.; his brother John William; and his sister-in-law Helen D. Dymek (Pazdro). He is survived by: his wife Christina M. Dymek-Thompson; and his son Daniel J. Thompson, III of Arlington, VA.. He is also survived by his niece and nephew in Arizona, and a nephew.
