He was predeceased by: his father Francisco Alvarez; and his siblings, Saturnino Alvarez, Reynaldo Santana and Irma Alvarez. He is survived by: his wife Herminia Santiago; his children, Luz Santos (Jacob Santos Sr.) and Francisco Santiago (Livia Santiago); his grandchildren, Ashley M. Rodriguez, Desiree L. Rodriguez, Jasmine A. Oliva, Jacob Santos Jr., Francisco Santiago and Jayshalee Santos; his great grandchildren, Ivan Oliva, Luz Oliva and Francisco Santiago; his mother Marcolina Aponte; and his siblings, Wilfredo Santana, Ruben Santana, Severo Santana, Rosa Alvarez, Concepcion Alvarez and Yolanda Santana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncle, and friends.
