Marlene will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Though Marlene is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Marlene’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dawley Asselin and Esther Asselin Broderick; her husband Daniel Curran; and her siblings, Wayne Asselin and Donna Bartrosz.
She is survived by: her son James O'Donnell (Sheri); her brother Shawn Dawley Asselin (Susan); and her sister-in-law Patricia McCarthy Asselin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and three first cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home (2049 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A procession will be held on Monday, November 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1945 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A burial will be held on Monday, November 30th 2026 at the Saint Jerome Cemetery (1666 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040).
