He is survived by: his children, Alexander Kerkhoff (Victoria) of East Brookfield and Mackenzie Kerkhoff of Springfield; his siblings, Daniel Kerkhoff (Kathleen) of Chicopee, Nancy Clark (Bill) of Vermont and Kathleen Kochapski (Stanley) of Florence; his granddaughter Everly Kerkhoff; and his close friend Randy Goldberg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Make a Wish foundation.
