With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James S. Prophet Sr. of Hopedale, Massachusetts, born in Milford, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 23, 2023 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James S. Prophet Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George M. Prophet and Katherine Prophet (Gilbert); and his siblings, William Prophet and Louise L'Esperance. He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Prophet (Earle); and his children, James S. Prophet, Jr. of Uxbridge, Thomas G. W. Prophet of Franklin, Robin D. Gentes of Woonsocket, Wanda M. Cabana of Bellingham, Heidi L. Hamrick of Casa Grande, AZ and Sharon Hackenson of Mendon. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, MA Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
