He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Gwen Richards (Zollo); and his parents, Jonathan Ervin Comstock and Mary Raffaela Maresca. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Eric Richards (Jessica), Justin Elliot Richards and Jonathan Charles Richards (Melinda); and his grandchildren, Angelina, Abby, Frankie, Ellie, Aisling and Gabrielle.
