With sadness, we share the passing of Rita de Jesus (Batista) Stone of Hudson, Massachusetts. Rita, born on July 30, 1931, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Esteves and Filomena Esteves (Batista); and her husband Irvine Stone. She is survived by: her brothers, Joaquim Esteves and Manuel Batista (Olga); and her nieces and nephews, Jack Esteves (Wendy) of Peabody, David Esteves (Melissa) of Hudson, Rosanne Esteves of Hudson, Laura Bertonassi (Mark) of Hudson and Teresa McCook (Chris) of Georgia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home (50 Central St, Hudson, MA 01749). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Michael Parish (21 Manning St, Hudson, MA 01749). A procession will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Forestvale Cemetery (177 Broad St, Hudson, MA 01749).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rita may be made to Good Shepherd Community Care, designated for the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence Bed Subsidy Program in Wayland Ma.
