He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Erickson (Adams) and Richard Erickson; and his siblings, Shirley Milton (John), Peggy Malone and Robert Erickson.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Erickson (Mensch) of Hull; his children, Kevin Barnard of West Hartford, CT and Traci Spadea (Pasquale) of Hanson; and his grandchildren, Dillon Spadea, Fiona Spadea of Hanson, Nathaniel Barnard and Henry Barnard of West Hartford, CT..

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory may be made to Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue of Pembroke, MA or an animal shelter of your choice.
