He is survived by: his wife Alexis Benson; his daughter Ellen Benson; his grandson Noah of Newburyport, Massachusetts; his daughter Tama Donovan (Dan); his grandchildren, Ned and Eliot of Ipswich, Massachusetts; his son Rob Benson of San Diego, California; and his brother Alan Benson.
