He is survived by: his children, Kristen Thompson (Scherer) and Bobby Scherer; his grandchildren, Olivia Thompson and William Thompson; his siblings, Tom Scherer, Maryanne Martin (Scherer), Cindy Scherer, Suzy (Scherer), Dwyer (David), Debi (Scherer) and Mitchell (Kevin); and his nieces and nephews, Melissa, Emily, Glen, Paul, Cam, Jean, Mark, Danny, Lauren, Katie, Denis and Marina.
