It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy W. Nelson of Ipswich, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy W. Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
As Roy departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Roy may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Roy leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy W. Nelson and Doris Nelson (Raisch). He is survived by: his wife Gale Nelson (Tuomi); his son Erik Nelson; his daughter-in-law Marcella Nelson; his granddaughter Emiliana Nelson of Austin, Texas; his son Brett Nelson of Ipswich; and his sister Pamela Morrissey (Richard Morrissey) of West Springfield. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home - Ipswich (6 High St, Ipswich, MA 01938). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Campbell Funeral Home (6 High St, Ipswich, MA 01938).
