She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Murphy and Catherine Murphy (Casey); her husband James M. Hanifin; and her sister Ellen Mahoney (Margie Christenson). She is survived by: her children, James Hanifin (Cindy), John Hanifin, Thomas Hanifin (Kelly), Robert Hanifin (Tina), Kathleen (Eddie Davis), Nancy (Paul Devlin) and Mary Ellen Hanifin-Gilmore; and her sisters, Anne Davis of Cambridge, Mary Christian of Foxboro and Patricia Giddings (Thomas Murphy) of West Roxbury.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home (1803 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Theresa of Avila Church (2078 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
