He was predeceased by: his parents, Stedman F. Briggs and Hester F. Briggs (Heigham); and his brother Stedman F. "Teddy" Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Celia A. Briggs (Hendrickson); his children, R. Jason Briggs (Nicole) of Cumberland, RI, Eric C. Briggs (Lori-Ann Carter) of Lakeville, Jeffrey K. Briggs (Katherine Forde) of West Roxbury and Cynthia E. Rosenfield (Joseph) of Bridgewater; his grandchildren, Alexis Golliff (Robbie), Morgan Briggs, Kayla Briggs, Kevin Briggs, Maxwell, Madison Rosenfield, Abigail, Cecile Briggs, Joshua and Maeve Briggs; his great grandchild Gianna Golliff of Lakeville; his sister-in-law Susan Briggs (White); and his sibling's children, Christopher Briggs, Trace Rossman, Joshua, Adam, Ryan and Nicole Hendrickson.
