He was predeceased by: his sister Sandra Morrison; and his parents, Harold Potter and Elizabeth Potter (Duff). He is survived by: his wife Judith Potter (Bemis); his children, Tara Finley (Michael), Christopher Potter (Diane) and Jodie Martin (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Gracie, Julia, Kathryn, Brandon Finley, Katie, Owen Potter, Jake and Lily Martin; and his siblings, Harold Potter (Lee), Brendon Potter (Jane) and Cheryl Baer (Jacey Durham). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
