He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Yates (Couture); his children, Shannon Marie Yates, Charles Ernest Yates III (Jolean), James Yates (Yulissa) and Shawn Yates (Veronica); his stepson Anthony Murphy; his siblings, George Yates, Ralph Yates, Roy Yates, Roberta Allen, Penny Johnson, Sandra Galloway, Sueanna Alexander and Donna Hilton; his grandchildren, Charles Ernest Yates, IIII, Jovan Soto, Albert Burns, Tawnee Burns, Cayden Yates, Felicity Burns and Lucas Yates; and his aunt Gloria Jordan. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
