He was predeceased by: his parents, Justo Santana and Genoveva Amaro. He is survived by: his wife Lydia Merced; his daughters, Evelyn (Edwin), Noemi (Desi) and Jocelyn (Kabir); and his grandchildren, Adriel, Desiree, Desi Jr., Adalise, Marc, Lizmarie, Aaron and Daniel. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
