He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Ringland and Mary Ringland (Callahan); and his siblings, Marguerite Burke, William Ringland, John Ringland, Theresa Mackenna and Mary Callahan.
He is survived by: his children, Marguerite "Peggy" Bolduc (Normand), Mary Crete (Don Torrisi), Sandra "Sandy" Ringland and Joseph F. Ringland, Jr.; his grandchildren, Nicole Ringland, Jeffrey Bolduc, Laurie Bolduc, Ryan Crete and Eric Crete; his nieces, Jane Legendre and Carol Marsillia; and also Darren Casista. He is also survived by extended family comprised of great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
