He is survived by: his significant other Barbara; and his children, James Meckel (Mary O'Leary) of Prairie Village, Maureen McCarthy (Jonathan) of Southampton, Ann Cloutier (John) and Theresa Meckel (David Nichols) of Holyoke. He is also survived by seven granddaughters and five great-granddaughters.
