She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Eason and Beatrice Joyner Menifee; her husband Bobby Vail; her siblings, Joel Eason, Jr., Sylvester Eason, Helen Ford and Corrine Eason; and her great grandchild Abigail Rebecca Melendez.
She is survived by: her son Stanley E. Vail of Pittsfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
