He was predeceased by: his sisters, Heather Gibbons (Barney), Heidi and Holly Barney; his aunt Kathleen Sawyer; his uncle Kevin Sawyer; his pets, Dundee and Dexter; and his parents, Edward Barney and Maureen E. Barney (Sawyer).
He is survived by: his son Spencer "Shelbie" Barney; his partner Joseph Benavidez; his nieces and nephews, Mattea and Jacob Hakala; and his shih-tzus, Freddie, George, Arthur, Spike and Riley. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
