With sadness, we share the passing of Dorothy C. Stevens of Lexington, Massachusetts. Dorothy, born on March 29, 1932, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sullivan (Jack) and Dorothy Sullivan (McCaffrey); her son Thomas Stevens; her former husband Jim Stevens (Jim) of Lexington; and her brothers, John and William Sullivan.
She is survived by: her children, William Stevens of Atlanta, GA, Catherine Stevens of Canton, GA, Janice Justice (Rob) of Lexington, MA, Paula Boland (Rich) of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Maureen Surette (David) of Gloucester, MA and Michael Stevens (Carolyn) of Lexington, MA.; her grandchildren, Andrea Gardner (Matt), Jack Justice (Andrea), Caroline Justice, Rich Boland (Kelly), Shea Boland, Margo Boland, Kyle Schmutzler (Jamie), Jake Schmutzler, Stefan Surette (Vanessa), Trevor Surette, Audrey Bucci (Andrew), Madison Marchant (Louis), John Stevens (Maria) and Jillian Stevens; her great grandchildren, Catherine, Molly, Will Gardner, Leona Schmutzler, Sofia Justice, Declan, Stevie and Johnnie Boland; her brother Leo Sullivan (Rosalie (Cookie)) of Medford; and her caregiver Cindy Gilpin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Douglass Funeral Home (51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Brigid Church (1981 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02421).
