He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Lyda Smith (Lee). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Heenan); his daughters, Elizabeth Smith (Andrew Kucksdorf) of Boston and Emily Smith (Stuart Ohler) of Oakland, CA; and his siblings, Robert G. Smith (Donnie) of Jackson, MS and Sheryl Ray (Charles Ray) of New Orleans, LA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
