She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis M. and Maria (Raposo) of Jesus; and her siblings, Jose M. Ferreira, Maria and Gloria Silva.

She is survived by: her husband Luis Sousa of Lowell; her daughter Cidalia Tavares (Paulo); her grandsons, Gary and Derek Tavares of Lowell; her son Luis DeSousa; her granddaughter Raquel DeSousa of Fall River; her son Silvino Sousa (Elisbete); her grandchildren, Roberto, Ruben and Ronaldo Sousa of Lowell; her great grandchild Deacon Carlos DeSousa (Elizabete); her sister Leontina Pereira of Canada; Ashley DeSousa of Lowell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
