Mitchell, Lawrence Charles Degree, Sr. and Clinzo Douglas, Sr.; his grandchildren, Diamante Renee Boykins and Jevohn Wilmot Fortier; and his great grandchildren, Symphony Marie Fortier and Leilani Noelle Corrine Moutua.

He is survived by: his children, Rita Boykins Choate (Paul Choate) of Lowell, Jody J. Boykins (Kim) of Lowell, David Boykins, Jr. of Lowell and Emmanuel Boykins of Lowell; his sister Lela Boykins Hall (Thurman) of Lowell; his sisters-in-law, Colleen Boykins (Murphy) of Lowell and Alice Hopper of Shelby; and his siblings, Thomas Franklin Hopper of North Carolina, Rita N. Douglas, Flossie M. Allison, Rossie M. Mitchell, Betty Ann Boykins, Liberta Hopper Card, Jimmy Lee Boykins, Henry L. Petty, Anthony L. Boykins and Charles Hopper. He is also survived by grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
