He is survived by: his wife Dori Simpson (Bender); his son Derik Gaspari; his grandson Jacob Gaspari; his brothers, Stephen (Beth Simpson), Donald (Lisa Simpson) and Timothy (Kathy Simpson); and his sister-in-law Deborah Schneider (Leonard). He is also survived by six nieces.
