He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Collins (O'Loughlin) and Michael Collins; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Lydon; his sisters, Mary and Louise Collins; his close friend Dr. John Janas, Jr.; and his pets, Sassy and Luigi.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen of Lowell, Elizabeth Hickle (Patrick) of Bedford, NH and Judith of Jersey City, NJ; and his granddaughters, Jessica Hickle of New Haven, CT and Kathryn Hickle (Katie) of Boston, MA..
After courageously battling kidney disease and cancer for more than two and one-half years, he did not have the strength to beat COVID.
