He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Isabelle Shamshoyan Hamel; his son Edwin Hamel (Robyn) of Shirley, MA; his grandchildren, Alexander, Maxamilian, Miana and Natally; his daughter Deanna Hamel (Kin Lee); his granddaughters, Sophie and Colette of Westport, CT.; and his parents, George Sr. Hamel and Mary Hamel of Lowell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McDonough Funeral Home (14 Highland St, Lowell, MA 01852). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saints Vartanantz Armenian Church (180 Old Westford Rd, Chelmsford, MA 01824). A burial will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the St. Mary Cemetery (90 River Rd, Tewksbury, MA 01876).
