He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary McGovern (Mullaney) and Frank McGovern; his brothers, Donald and Francis McGovern; and his sisters-in-law, Pat and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his nieces, Nancy McGovern of Lowell and Patricia Ann Gormley (Brian) of Hooksett, NH; his nephew Michael McGovern (Joan) of Plymouth; his great-nieces, Faith and Maggie; and his great-nephew Jack.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to Hidden Battles Foundation, 76 Pleasant Street, Dracut, MA 01826.
