It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose C. Nunes of Lowell, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Casimiro Nunes and Maria Avila; his sister Fatima Matos; and his parents-in-law, Jose Paulo and Albertina Sousa.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Nunes (Sousa) of Dracut; his daughters, Sonia Trottier (Justin) of Tyngsboro and Sandra Luis (Carlos) of Dracut; his grandchildren, Matthew, Emma Luis, Dominic, Ethan, Eva and C. J. Trottier (Elizabeth) of Florida; his great grandchild Lucien; his siblings, Antonio Avila (Leonor), Teresa Avila, Manuel Nunes (Alzira), Lucia Machado of California, Diodoro Nunes (Evangelina) of California, Inês Da Silva (Manuel) of Canada, Saozinha Nunes, João Nunes and Ana Borba (Paulo) of Canada; his brother-in-law Norberto Matos; his parents-in-law, Maria, Carmo Borges (Germano) of Dracut, Paulo Sousa (Maria) of Lowell, Fernanda Silveira (Arthur) of Lowell, Helder Sousa (Maria Guadalupe) of Tewksbury, Silvina Aguiar (João) of Florida, Ilidio Sousa (Michelle) of Lowell and Abilio Sousa (Cathy) of North Chelmsford; and his godchildren, Paulo Machado and Chris Aguiar. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
