Lois McCabe Obituary
We announce the death of Lois McCabe of Lowell, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Sokorelis and Aphrodite Sokorelis (Ziakas); her sister Esther Vavra; and her brothers-in-law, Edward Vavra and Robert Whalen.
She is survived by: her husband William McCabe; her children, Kelley A. Gravell (Leo) of Hampton, NH and Matthew W. McCabe (Jennifer) of Lowell, MA; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Mollie, Kendall, Peyton, Nicholas, Morgan and Derek; her great grandchild Nathan; and her siblings, Frances Whalen of Lowell, MA and Elias Sokorelis of Seabrook, NH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Donnell Funeral Home (276 Pawtucket St, Lowell, MA 01854). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (90 River Rd, Tewksbury, MA 01876).
