It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Manuel S. Gomes of Lowell, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 20, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Manuel S. Gomes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Marcelino Gomes and Maria Pereira. He is survived by: his children, Margarida Cunha (Jason Greenaway) of Lowell, Joao Gomes (Anabela) of Terceira, Ana P. Gomes of Lowell, Jorge Gomes of Lowell and Nelia Gomes of Dracut; his grandchildren, Michael Cunha, Felicia Gomes, JJ Gomes, Karson, Konnor Boule, Leonardo Matos and Lisandro Gomes; his great grandchildren, Dianyliz, Gabriella, Milani, Penelope and Jamilla; his sister Fernanda Dearing of Lowell; and his goddaughter Madelena Gomes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including his niece.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDonough Funeral Home (14 Highland St, Lowell, MA 01852). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Church (893 Central St, Lowell, MA 01852).
