He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Ponte Sequeira and Adelina Mendes. He is survived by: his wife Maria Cecilia; his daughters, Michelle Wesley (Jay) of North Reading and Jennifer Plunkett (Thomas) of Andover; his grandchildren, Jackson, Gavin Wesley, Grant and Vivian Plunkett; his brothers, Joe Ponte (Gabriella) of Nashua and John (Christine) of Madeira; his sisters-in-law, Filomena Soares of Curaçao and Carolina Andrade of Madeira; and his cousins, Sidonia, Tony Conceicao of Dracut, Joe Freitas and Niki Iacano of Kirtland, Ohio.. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fay McCabe Funeral Home (105 Moore St, Lowell, MA 01852). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Church (893 Central St, Lowell, MA 01852). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Lowell Cemetery (77 Knapp Ave, Lowell, MA 01852).
