She was predeceased by: her spouse Valdemiro C. Melo; and her parents, Manuel Veiga and Leonor Veiga (Candida). She is survived by: her children, Manuel L. Melo (Natalia) of Lowell, Valdemiro V. Melo of Hudson, NH, Rita M. Ghizzo (Adair) of Lowell and Carlos Melo (Millie) of Litchfield, NH; her grandchildren, Walter Bettencourt, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Templeton, Cliff Bettencourt (Kimberly) of Lowell, Greg Bettencourt (Laura) of Lowell, Travis Bettencourt (Lauren) of Ashby, Kyle Melo of Lowell, Valdemiro Melo, Jr. of Everett, WA, Dennis Melo of Huntington, WV and Lucas Melo of Litchfield, NH; her great grandchildren, Calvin, Ava, Alana, Nicholas, Aiden, Chase, Valdemiro III and Kehlani Rae; and her sisters, Celeste Veiga of Graciosa, Azores and Portugal. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
